Hi folks! Just flashed form the non-listed F.52 ( dv6833us) to F.53. For a Win-flash it went pretty well actually for those 5 min unprepared WIN-FLASH I almost got a heart attack but I got lucky and the laptop is now happily fully functional :D I find the F.53 surprisingly good the temperature issue ... idling around 60 C is now better and IF i clean-up the laptop ... damn I expect miracles. So far so good ... Could someone that's more experience in flashing BIOS just give a good proved way to flash with at least more chance for not making your laptop a dead brick . For example safe way with Win-Flash ( WIN Safe-Mode???) or how to do it with DOS-boot able USB/CD/ drive the bios is actually in the BIOS.WPH file but ... a .ISO??? Just don't know

I had a hp dv2700 laptop and there was a problem with the laptop. The person I took my laptop to he said we need to change the aptop. After replacing the motherboard of the laptop with compaq v3700 as listed in th bois it would not detect he hard drive. Initially it picked the are drive installed windows 7 home basic as soon as I updated to windows 7 pro there was Memory dump and since hen the hard drive I not being detected. Checked the bios version t is F.2E which s the latest one. Hard drive capacity is 250 gb. I have being trying o search for he solution can some tell me what else can I o to solve s problem.

This is weird. I've used Diamondcard.us for about 3 years now. Only to call land lines and cell phones in several countries on at least 2 continents. There were some bumps in the road getting Ekiga going (Linux), but it's no secret Ekiga's buggy.

I've talked to tech support a few times. They were always patient, and between decent and good with the support.

I've only paid with PayPal and the only issues I've had are with PayPal (which I no longer use).

I have only one complaint: I'm not notified when I'm about to be out of money--a call will just drop. However, I'm usually back on the phone after one minute or two.

ciao a tutti , ho un problema , con pavillon dv6 sl 200.No funzionano piu' i comandi wireless e controllo volume del touch soft, con led colorati, non me ne intendo molto, cosa dovrei fare?Almeno per abilitare il wireless in altro modo, per il volume ho l'altenativa, ma per controllare il wireless?? Create a symbolic link to the libnpjp2.so file in the browser plugins
directory
Go to the plugins sub-directory under the Firefox installation directory
cd <Firefox installation directory>/xulrunner/plugins
Create the symbolic link
ln -s <Java installation directory>/lib/i386/libnpjp2.so
also
cd ./mozilla/plugins
Create the symbolic link
ln -s <Java installation directory>/lib/i386/libnpjp2.so

Note: If you are upgrading your Java version then before creating new
symbolic link you should remove old symbolic link to enable latest downloaded
Java.

To remove old symbolic link:
type cd <Firefox installation directory>/plugins
rm libjavaplugin_oji.so
Example
If Firefox is installed at this directory:
/usr/lib/<Firefox installation directory>
And if the Java is installed at this directory:
/usr/java/<Java installation directory>
Then type in the terminal window to go to the browser plug-in directory:
/usr/lib/<Firefox installation directory>/plugin
Enter the following command to create a symbolic link to the Java
Plug-in for the Mozilla browser.
ln -s /usr/java/<Java installation directory>/lib/i386/libnpjp2.so

Start the Firefox browser, or restart it if it is already up.

In Firefox, type about:plugins in the Location bar to confirm that the Java
Plugin is loaded. You can also click the Tools menu to confirm that Java Console
is there.

I also had negative comments on Diamondcard. I never got Ekiga to work after about 8 hours on my own and the at least a dozen emails to and from their service, nothing. The next morning, I asked for a refund and was told I would not get any. They knew it never worked. Their tech guy wanted me to change to a different program. I would NEVER recommend Diamondcard.

I have had them for just under a year and no issues. I had to wait for someone to call me back to verify that the phone and credit card was legit which works for me. I wish more companies would do that rather than me having to fight bogus charges on my credit card billing. As a linux user, I set up an asterisk test box using their service and had no issues. Their email support was responsive to my issues. Now i am using a hard SIP phone to make calls. Will definitely renew my phone number in a couple of months. Like most services or operating systems, it will work for some but not for others. Go figure.
