I also had negative comments on Diamondcard. I never got Ekiga to work after about 8 hours on my own and the at least a dozen emails to and from their service, nothing. The next morning, I asked for a refund and was told I would not get any. They knew it never worked. Their tech guy wanted me to change to a different program. I would NEVER recommend Diamondcard.

I have had them for just under a year and no issues. I had to wait for someone to call me back to verify that the phone and credit card was legit which works for me. I wish more companies would do that rather than me having to fight bogus charges on my credit card billing. As a linux user, I set up an asterisk test box using their service and had no issues. Their email support was responsive to my issues. Now i am using a hard SIP phone to make calls. Will definitely renew my phone number in a couple of months. Like most services or operating systems, it will work for some but not for others. Go figure.

I don't want to change the first day of the week for the locale en_GB. What I want is to change the locale for the time I use to be the locale of germany.

That is, I want
$locale

to show:
...
LC_TIME="de_DE.UTF-8"

...LC_TIME="de_DE"

or whatever it should be the way it should be
and the way it should be done

Please note, that this tool is a hack which is *not* integrated with Debian's package management system and therefore is not for the
faint of heart. This program interferes with the Debian package management and does provoke strange, but usually harmless, behaviour
of programs related with apt/dpkg like dpkg-repack, debsums, reportbug, etc. Responsibility for its usage and possible breakage of
your system therefore lies in the sysadmin's (your) hands.

Please definitely do abstain from reporting any such bugs blaming localepurge if you break your system by using it. If you don't know
what you are doing and can't handle any resulting breakage on your own then please simply don't use this package.

Hi lefty, I'm sorry I haven't provided a screen shot yet. However if you experienced this issue you would definitely know. It's not a matter of getting a slicker appearance, it's just of getting rid of very ugly rendering!

Hi vinayak, Despite power management having improved dramatically on Linux in recent years, recent kernel versions (and the one in Natty) have a major regression that makes the computer run warmer and drain more power: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=linux_mobile_uffda&num=1 The issue you experience with the hybrid graphic card may also be responsible for this unusual heating. Integrated cards do indeed consume less power!

Hi vinayak! Unfortunately as far as I know there is no 100% reliable way to update the HP BIOS on Ubuntu. I warmly suggest you to create a small partition for windows and use that to update the BIOS. You can get rid of it later.
